Are you an experienced Medical Affairs professional who enjoys combining scientific excellence with strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration? We are looking for a french speaking (or bilingual FR/DU) Medical Advisor for one of our partners, a leading pharmaceutical company to support new product launches.

SCOPE:


As Medical Affairs Professional, you will play a key role in translating science into meaningful outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals. You will contribute to the development and execution of the medical strategy, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, engage with external experts (GPs and SPCs), identify evidence gaps that support patient access, and help shape high-quality scientific education.

JOB CONTENT:


Your key responsibility will be to foster effective collaboration across the cross-functional team by ensuring strategic priorities and medical content are well aligned, ensuring physicians are engaged as true partners — actively involving them in medical projects, gathering their insights, and supporting their continuous education.


In this role, you will take ownership of dedicated projects from initiation through to successful delivery, while keeping internal stakeholders informed of progress, milestones, and objectives along the way. You will also support pharmacist engagement and patient-centered education initiatives.


Additionally, you will provide medical expertise across the local organization, helping to strengthen customer interactions, supporting the development and review of promotional materials, and contributing to the training of the sales team.


Customer and Business Support:


  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the product, therapeutic area and treatment landscape
  • Understand and anticipate the scientific information needs of local and regional healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development of medical strategies supporting brand commercialization in close collaboration other teams
  • Actively contribute to the strategic planning of marketed brands
  • Provide scientific expertise and creative input for the development, review and approval of promotional materials
  • Support the scientific training of sales representatives and other medical colleagues
  • Monitor market developments and assess their potential impact on medical strategy and product positioning

Scientific Data Exchange:


  • Respond to unsolicited scientific questions from healthcare professionals when these cannot be addressed by the Medical Information service
  • Contribute to educational meetings by developing scientific content, briefing speakers or presenting as a speaker
  • Organize and facilitate advisory board meetings
  • Develop scientific slide decks and publications, including abstracts, posters and manuscripts
  • Build and maintain strong collaborations with scientific experts and key opinion leaders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant professional societies
  • Support medical congresses through scientific discussions, presentations, booth support, thought leader engagement and customer events

Clinical Research:


  • Review the strategic alignment of local Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) proposals and support investigators during the submission process
  • Identify evidence gaps and contribute to the generation of Real-World Evidence (RWE) to support patient access and reimbursement

General Responsibilities:


  • Provide medical leadership that strengthens collaboration and drives productivity within cross-functional teams
  • Monitor and follow up on project budgets
  • Take ownership of your professional development while actively coaching and supporting colleagues

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Scientific Master's degree
  • PhD is considered an asset
  • Minimum of two years of Medical Affairs experience, preferably including product launch experience.
  • Experience in Clinical Operations can be considered relevant as well
  • French mother tongue with good English and basic understanding of Dutch
  • Strong ability to interpret and critically evaluate scientific literature
  • Ability to translate complex scientific data into relevant and impactful communication for healthcare professionals
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to balance scientific integrity with business priorities
  • Live in Belgium
