JOB SCOPE:


Gain and maintain optimal Market Access, Pricing and Reimbursement conditions for the company's products. Maintain close dialogue with local stakeholders and support HQ Global Market Access & Pricing as well as Public Affairs.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


Obtain optimal access for products and indications:


  • Write, develop and deliver high quality pricing and reimbursement dossiers.
  • Write, build and submit the dossiers in line with the affiliate and market access strategy
  • Close follow up of the pricing and reimbursement processes and prepare answers to questions / objections from payers / stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and follow up with outsourced contractors such as HEOR, Cost-Effectiveness and/or Budget Impact Models specialists

Support in developing local market access strategy:


  • Co-develop the strategic market access plan
  • Support building relevant, solid value arguments supported by, but not limited to health economics data (including budget impact and cost-effectiveness models)
  • Build pricing and market access strategies for brands that optimize the value of life cycle management opportunities and ensure integration into brand strategies and plans

Execute local market access strategy:


  • Implement and monitor local pricing & market access strategy ensuring alignment with global GMAP strategy
  • Follow up of pricing/reimbursement programs to obtain and maintain optimal price and reimbursement status.
  • Support the commercial team in finding smart contracting solutions with hospitals / buyers
  • Develop national payers convention pricing strategies
  • Monitor local pricing / access issues, assess risks and opportunities

Stakeholder Engagement and Influence:


  • Assist with the development and implementation of public relations and government affairs strategy
  • Collaborate on regular basis with key local internal stakeholders to review and address their challenges
  • Active sharing on strategic valuable information in commercial operational meetings
  • Contribute to / leverage business decisions
  • Collaborate on regular basis with Global internal stakeholders, Global Market Pricing team and the Public Affairs team to help them addressing their and local challenges

BACKGROUND & SKILLS:


  • Medical Doctor/Pharmacist or master’s degree in science.
  • High Level of verbal and written Dutch and English. French is an asset.
  • At least 3 year experience in operational Market Access & Pricing
  • Proven track record of working with Pharmaceutical Specialised products, within Belgium.
  • Significant experience in, and knowledge of, specialty markets with complex science and
    reimbursement
  • Successful experience in obtaining reimbursement and the launch of new products
  • Experience working on HTA submissions and in Pricing techniques
  • Experience in preparing Rare Disease launch in Belgium is an added value
  • Strong strategic thinking and scientific writing skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of the HTA and pricing /reimbursement dossiers and environment in Belgium
  • Ability to review and analyse business and medical data and apply project management skills and experience.
