For a European leader in full expansion, we are looking for a Quality Department Manager with experience developing and maintaining Quality Management Systems and with well-developed team management skills.

We are reaching out to candidates in different areas of expertise: food supplements, cosmetics, natural health, medical devices, pharma.

Job Scope:

• The Quality Department Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a Quality Policy/ culture as well as an efficient Quality Management System within the different entities of the company in accordance with appropriate legal requirements.
• She/he is accountable and focusing on continuous improvement principles for achieving the best quality of the products on the market.
• She/he is the primary contact with external quality partners as well as different certification bodies/competent authorities.
• She/he will lead a team of 7 direct reports.

Main Activities:

Managing and supervising the overall quality accountabilities:

• Coordinating the different quality units of each entity of company and focusing to harmonization of quality system in place,
• Contribute to the approval and monitoring contract manufacturers and providers for outsourced activities, including selection and evaluation of those providers, in liaison with the Purchase Director,
• Participating to the set-up and approval of Quality & Technical Agreement with external partners as well as Product Specification File,
• Participating in investigations regarding major/critical quality issues which may affect product quality,
• Participating in writing and/or approving standard operating procedures and other controlled documents,
• Overseeing gap assessment realization related to relevant certification standards (ISO9001, ISO22716, ISO22000, ISO13745, GMP) and coordinating the various certification processes. Once obtained, ensuring their maintenance in a continuous way.

Managing and monitoring the overall quality control activities:

• Participating to the decision-making process for approving or rejecting, starting materials, packaging materials, intermediate, bulk and finished products,
• Approving specifications, sampling instructions, test methods and other Quality Control procedures.

Maintaining the performance of the Quality Management System in compliance with the legal requirements:

• Monitoring the performance of the Change Control management process,
• Monitoring the compliance with the requirements of Good Practice and ISO principles,
• Leading the management reviews of process performance, product quality and of the quality management system (AQR and PQR),
• Provide support to the realization of internal audit of the different entities,
• Ensuring that a timely and effective communication and escalation process exists to raise quality issues to the appropriate levels of management.

Professional and Behavioral Skills:

• Experience in Quality Management in the field of natural health, food supplements, pharma, cosmetics, medical devices
• Languages: French is essential, good basic knowledge of English. Dutch is a plus, but not necessary.
• Proven team management experience,
• Training and proven experience in Quality Management System
• High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask and adapt to quickly changing priorities across multiple projects.
• Strong writing, analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally, managing multiple projects and short timelines, and working in fast-paced environment,
• Strong integrity and sound judgment
• Strong ability to solve problems.
