JOB SCOPE:


The Medical Information Officer plays a crucial role in supporting both internal and external medical information initiatives:


  • Providing accurate and timely responses to unsolicited inquiries,
  • Ensuring the scientific integrity and legal accuracy of customer-facing materials,
  • Conducting medical training sessions aligned with the organization's strategic priorities.
  • All activities are performed in accordance with the latest scientific data.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


Medical Information


Respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers regarding product information, handling them with accuracy and confidentiality:


  • Answering unsolicited medical requests within the Medical Information System
  • Support & training local teams
  • Support local SOP updates/adaptations
  • Support & Back-up of the Medical Information Manager in case of audit/inspection

Medical Reviewer


This ensures that (non)-promotional materials are scientifically accurate and comply with the Belux regulations:


  • Thorough review of materials: scientific accuracy & legal requirements.
  • Archive approved materials

Medical Training


Train newcomers (medical, sales, marketing, market access) to provide a comprehensive knowledge of the company's products. Medical product training is crucial for maintaining high standards of care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the successful commercialization of the product.


  • Development of training materials
  • Performing refresher trainings
  • Tracking of medical trainings

Identify and report complaints / safety information to the Quality & Pharmacovigilance Departments

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL SKILLS


  • Scientific, healthcare or medical degree
  • Fluency in Dutch, good in French and professional knowledge of English
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Service-oriented and helpful with a customer-friendly approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Digital fluency
  • Hands-on mindset and comfortable to work with deadlines.
  • Knowledge of and experience within medical information and/or medical affairs is a plus.
  • Live in Belgium
